About Perfume Street

A perfume house for houses that are not perfumers.

We create and develop olfactory universes for heritage brands. We run the full process, from artistic direction to production and distribution.

Our story

A passion that became a job.

Perfume Street was founded by Arthur Cukier. We took over the Borsalino fragrance licence in 2024 and launched the first fragrances under the new licence, Black Iris, in February 2025.

We treat Borsalino as a passion project. The brand was already part of Arthur's family story, and his wife Claire, who works with him, is Italian. So the house felt close to home from day one.

Today the team works from Miami, Paris and New York. Our fragrances are in 616+ stores and reach 32 countries online. Poland, where we partner with Douglas, is now our second biggest market after Italy.

What we believe

Three rules we keep.

Protect the DNA

Every bottle must feel like the house that signs it.

Lead with feeling

We tell stories people can feel, then explain the notes.

Respect the materials

Natural ingredients and the best artisans, at a fair price.

Arthur Cukier

Arthur grew up between wine and perfume. His mother worked in the family business making and distributing wine. His father was a perfume distributor. From a young age he loved what links the two: the chemistry, the agriculture behind the raw materials, and the luxury at the end of the chain.

Fragrance was always a passion. He keeps more than 200 perfumes in his collection. But he has a very mathematical mind, so after INSEAD he first went into finance, in venture capital and private equity.

He then managed e-commerce brands for two London companies. The last one, Grace and Stella, sold mostly on Amazon US. He helped it stand out and took it into retail. That gave him real experience in launching products, leading teams and creating assets. So he decided to do it for himself, and his passion became his job.

His mentor is Chantal Roos, the former President of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. She showed him you do not need to be a nose to create fragrances. She taught him to connect a brand's heritage with the perfumers who can bring it to life, to describe perfume through feelings rather than ingredients, to always protect a brand's DNA, and to keep the end customer in mind.
